Janie Oglesby is a multidisciplinary artist with a focus in painting and ceramics. She is from Long Island, NY, but her work is informed by her experiences with Unidentified Aerial Phenomena while traveling in Maryland, California, and Virginia. 

Janie is currently pursuing a BFA at MICA in Baltimore. She has shown work in numerous group exhibitions and won Best in Show at the LongHouse Reserve Student annual. She has been a finalist in the Congressional Art Competition and in the Teeny Awards. She taught painting classes in North Carolina for a year before returning to MICA to finish her undergraduate degree
